Mens Retreat Day

On June 19, twenty-three men from St. Bartholomew, St. John and other area parishes took part in a Men’s Day of Retreat at the Grotto in Emmitsburg. The day consisted of spiritual talks, Mass, Confessions and the rosary. Our retreat master was Father Jack Lombardi. The weather was warm but beautiful and many of those in attendance are looking forward to next year’s retreat. Adult Education will be sponsoring a similar day for Catholic Women in late October. Watch this newsletter and the parish bulletin for details.

RCIA
Summer also means that RCIA is just around the corner. If you know of someone who is considering becoming Catholic, then RCIA is the vehicle to do that. Welcome Night is Monday, August 30 and classes begin the Monday after Labor Day. Reception into the Catholic Church will be at the Easter Vigil on April 23rd. The RCIA Team also welcomes anyone interested in accompanying a new Catholic on the journey as a Sponsor. For more RCIA information, contact Tom Abbott (410) 239-8881 or email thomasp1050@yahoo.com.
