ADULT VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL Twenty -five adults participated in the 10th annual Adult Vacation Bible School, “God Will Provide The Lamb” from July 21-24 in the Parish Center. Participants were steeped in Jewish tradition and Catholic teaching to explain what Jesus did at the Last Supper. Thanks to all who participated. RCIAOne of the most daunting challenges for our Church and our parish is to properly form new inquirers into our Catholic Faith. Our RCIA program begins on September 8. If you know of anyone who is considering exploring the Catholic Church, have him or her contact Tom Abbott at (410) 239-8881 or email: thomasp1050@yahoo.com. FALL PROGRAMS Adult
Education will feature many exciting programs this coming Fall. Among
these are St. Bartholomew Scripture Study beginning September 24. We
will study the Book of Genesis. Fundamentals of Catholicism this year
will deal with “God’s Providence and the Mystery of Evil”. Fundamentals
meets on Tuesdays and will begin October 7. Coffee and the Catechism
has the distinction of being our only year round program. It meets
every Thursday morning from 10:00-11:30 am. TTIP (Third Thursday In
Perpetuity) is a continuation of our Learn Your Faith, Live Your Faith
program discussing Catholic current events and exploring the faith in
depth. LEARNING THE TRADITIONAL LATIN MASSA special program this Fall will explain the meaning, origin and theology of the Extraordinary Form of the Roman Rite – the Latin or Tridentine Mass. Great as a refresher for pre-Vatican II Catholics as we as a good introduction to this Mass, called, “The most beautiful thing this side of Heaven”. Meets September 9, 16 and 23rd. For
more information about these or any Adult Education Programs, please
contact Tom Abbott at (410) 239-8881 or by email: thomasp1050@yahoo.com
